Waikuku Beach Holiday Park
Don’t just take our word for it! Waikuku Beach Holiday park has been a treasured kiwi holiday spot for generations. Here are some real stories from guests about their experience staying with us.
I have been coming here for years and it really is the best. Always the most helpful friendly team. We just stayed in the new ensuite cabin and what a treat! Not sure how we will go back to the tent again after this. It was clean, modern had everything you need. A super comfy bed and your own ensuite is amazing, especially in the middle of the night! Thank you
We stopped here briefly for a break during a long drive, and had a great experience. The reception team was super friendly and happily accommodated our late check-in. The non-powered site was spacious, perfect for our truck and rooftop tent. The toilets and kitchen facilities were clean and well-maintained. This charming, homestyle campground was a great value for money, and the short walk to the beach was a bonus. Thanks, team!
Great new management team with a friendly can-do attitude. Very helpful in sorting out a site that worked for us and any issues that arose. Very active and present around the camp. Even in the peak season everything went quiet just after 10pm. Playground equipment upgrades were great for the grandkids, felt a safe place to stay. Definitely returning soon. Thanks again.
We rented a family cabin for 4 nights. We liked it so much that we extended our stay for another 4 nights. The cabin was new, clean with complete furnishings and comfortable beds. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The beach can be reached in 2 minutes, and the coastal strip is particularly photogenic. For example, you can photograph spoonbills and herons among other things. In short, a wonderful place to enjoy your free time.
The new owners are making a huge effort to improve the camp ground fixing up the small things that have been neglected. The grounds were neat and tidy, kitchens and toilets were nice and clean, and staff friendly and approachable. Plenty of walks including along the river stop bank, and north and south on the beach. There are life guards at the Waikuku Surf Club in the summer season with flagged areas to swim if you have kids. We had a really nice stay.
Spent two nights on an unpowered site in the first week of January. Great spot, facilities were clean. The campground is very sheltered from the north-easterlies. Amazingly quiet considering the time of year. Struck fantastic weather, and with a beautiful beach on your doorstep, what more could you ask for?
Modern, comfortable cabins, and friendly staff. Will definitely be staying again.
A hidden gem, had driven down the main highway so many times but never diverted into Waikuku Beach. Lovely long beach with a cute little village.
So this might not be the fanciest holiday park, but I’d go back in a heartbeat. There are lots of spots to choose from, the beach is amazing, and we just enjoyed relaxing. We also noted the effort made to keep everything clean and tidy. Would definitely go back again.
